Response to COVID-19 Inquiry

The QAMH submission to the Health, Communities, Disability Services and Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Committee reflects on the Queensland Government’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
It also explored related issues such as unemployment and loss of income, lack of social connection and isolation, and housing insecurity which significantly impacted individuals.
The QAMH submission identified five areas for an improved future response:
- Communication
- Personal Protective Equipment
- Workforce
- Funding
- Culturally and linguistically diverse communities
QAMH acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we live, learn and work and recognise their continuing connection to land, waters and community. We pay our respect to them and their cultures; and to Elders both past, present and emerging.
