QAMH provided a submission to the Inquiry into Social Isolation and Loneliness in Queensland, where we emphasised the importance of social connection for mental health and wellbeing. Our sector can play an important role in addressing social isolation and loneliness by providing supports and programs to keep people connected, building social and economic participation and linking people in with naturally occurring community supports and services.

The QAMH submission to the Inquiry into Social Isolation and Loneliness also covered the following:

  • The impact of social isolation and loneliness in Queensland
  • The interplay of COVID-19 with social isolation and loneliness
