Selection Criteria

Make sure you are eligible to apply for a Peer Work Scholarship (use checklist below)

  • I am 17 years or older and no longer in school, and I am a resident of Queensland

  • I am an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or a holder of a permanent residence visa, or a migrant, refugee or asylum seeker holding a temporary or bridging visa providing work and/or study rights

  • I have a lived experience of mental illness and /or suicidality as a consumer, carer, family member and

    • am employed with a mental health or suicide prevention service provider in a Peer Worker role

    OR

    • wishing to seek employment in a Peer Worker role
  • I can meet the attendance and study requirements to complete the Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work course, including attending an 80-hour work placement.
