QAMH Spotlight Issue 9, 2019

The QAMH Spotlight Issue 9, 2019 is out now.

After four years leading Queensland Alliance, Chief Executive Officer, Kris Trott has resigned to pursue other opportunities.

The Board and Staff of QAMH would like to thank and recognise Kris for her contribution, passion and commitment to the Alliance and the community mental health sector.

Whilst Kris achieved much during her time with the Alliance, we would like to acknowledge that Kris was instrumental in:

  • securing long term funding for the Alliance to ensure ongoing sustainable sector and community advocacy, during a period of vulnerability in the sector;
  • establishing a highly skilled team at the Alliance to engage with the sector and effectively represent and advocate on behalf of members;
  • influencing policy through her leadership roles as Chair of the Queensland Transition to NDIS for Mental Health Strategic Forum (QTN Forum) and Chair of the Executive Leadership Group of Community Mental Health Australia (CMHA); and
  • advocating for more investment in the sector and recognition of the immense value of mental health service providers to our community.

We thank Kris for her valuable contribution to the Alliance and the sector and wish her well for all her future endeavors.
