It is with great pleasure that the Board of Queensland Alliance for Mental Health (QAMH) announce the appointment of Ms Jennifer Black as Chief Executive Officer. She will commence as CEO on 9 December 2019.
Jennifer is an accomplished and transformational executive leader who draws on over 30 years’ experience working across the mental health system in Australia and the UK to lead lasting and positive change.
For the last 15 years, she has held significant leadership roles within the mental health sector, including Director of Operations for Barwon Health Mental Health and Drug and Alcohol Services. She was recently recognised in the 2019 Institute of Public Administration Australia’s top 50 public sector women in Victoria.
Jennifer leaves her role as the Deputy Commissioner for the Victorian Mental Health Complaints Commissioner, to lead QAMH.
The Board and staff of QAMH would like to thank and recognise Acting CEO, Jacklyn Whybrow for her exceptional leadership, commitment and direction of QAMH since February 2019. Jacklyn stepped up to the position of Acting CEO just 8 months into her Director of Partnership and Engagement role and has been instrumental to a number of key projects.
Jacklyn will continue to be a valuable asset as she returns to her substantive role as Director of Partnership and Engagement with QAMH upon Jennifer’s commencement.
