Closing the life expectancy gap between people living with mental illness and the general population is of vital importance. In this project, QAMH worked with the QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute to co-design a service model to improve the physical health and wellbeing of people with mental health issues.

In March 2020, the Queensland Government introduced a range of restrictions and social distancing measures in an attempt to stop the spread of COVID-19. This project reflects on these changes and identifies mental health service innovations and service models that might improve mental health service outcomes in the long term.

The Community Mental Health Workforce Project provides a snapshot of the Queensland community mental health and wellbeing workforce in 2021 and an understanding of the key challenges faced by the sector.
