Members Only
QAMH Members are invited to join us for our Online Members Forum led by our Workforce Project team.
QAMH partnered with Queensland Health to develop the Community Mental Health and Wellbeing Workforce Strategy 2024-2029 to respond to the unique workforce challenges facing the Community Mental Health and Wellbeing Sector. This strategy was launched in October 2024.
With the support of Queensland Health’s funding commitment until June 2029, QAMH is now progressing with the implementation of the Strategy. The purpose of this Workforce Strategy Implementation Project is to support the Community Mental Health and Wellbeing Sector to develop a contemporary, person-led and culturally safe workforce. This workforce needs to be equipped with the optimal mix of skills and knowledge to meet the needs of Queenslanders experiencing mental health challenges along the full continuum of care.
This session aims to provide an overview of the project and the deliverables we will be focusing on in the first year of implementation. We will share the insights we have gained so far but success requires us to be led by and collaborate with the sector. We are therefore keen to also hear your thoughts on our action plan and the way we can best work with QAMH members to ensure this project delivers what you need to grow, develop and retain your workforce.
