QAMH Online Members Forum: Student Placements and the Mental Health Industry Connector Project

QAMH Members are invited to join us for our Online Members Forum. Many Members are curious about how TAFE Queensland student placements could benefit their staff and organisations. This week’s Members Forum will de-mystify student placements for TAFE Certificate IV in Mental Health students and introduce ongoing sector engagement opportunities to work closer with TAFE Queensland. This initiative is part of the Mental Health Industry Connector Project, which aims to build a strong pipeline of qualified workers into our sector and connect organisations more seamlessly to information and resources to assist with student placements.

Bev Charnley and Tracy Galaud from TAFE Queensland join us and will explain:

  • Purpose and scope of student placements
  • Roles and responsibilities of placement stakeholders
  • Benefits to services and students through placement
  • Student tasks on placement – exploring the Workplace Student Log Book

This is a unique opportunity to connect with the relevant TAFE Queensland staff and understand the student placement process in-depth.
