QAMH Online Members Forum: Compassionate Villages

Members Only

At this online Members Forum we will be joined by Kristi Lamey, Compassionate Village Coordinator and Pauline Coffey, Manager – Access & Inclusion from Wesley Mission Queensland to talk about their project on building Compassionate Villages.

In 2022, Wesley Mission QLD was commissioned by the Brisbane North Primary Health Network to establish a Brisbane North Safe Space Network (BNSSN) which provides connected and accessible spaces and places in addition to Safe Space locations. As part of this network, Wesley Mission QLD have applied community development principles and practice to coordinate the development of ‘Compassionate Villages’ throughout the region. Join us on Wednesday 9 April to learn more about the Compassionate Village process and how the project has, and is, creating more community-based responses and safety options for people experiencing distress.
