Members Only
At this online Members Forum we will be joined by Canice Curtis (he/him), Senior Practice Lead at Wesley Mission Queensland (WMQ) Mental Health Services.
Child and Young People consistently identify the Climate Crisis as a significant factor impacting their emotional wellbeing. In early 2024 Wesley Mission Queensland Mental Health Services launched an innovation project seeking to respond to this need as a community mental health organisation. WMQ was inspired by the QAMH Wellbeing First Framework and utilise Human Centred Design Thinking as a primary methodology. This helps the organisation prioritise the needs/wants or children and young people and thus helps us design a response to the Climate Crisis which is user friendly and directly meets service user needs. Join Canice as he shares why this project is important for the community mental health sector, how we can respond directly to service user needs and hear about the exciting collaborative efforts underway to respond the Climate Crisis and its impact on emotional wellbeing.
