Queenslanders with disability, families, carers, advocacy organisations and service providers have raised issues regarding a number of proposed changes to the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). The Commonwealth Minister of the NDIS, Minister Reynolds has announced a pause to the rollout of the reforms and is undertaking further consultation with the disability sector and with State and Territory Governments.
This online forum is for people with disability, families, carers, advocacy organisations, disability and community service workers and any other parties interested in the NDIS reforms. It is a chance to hear from several speakers, including NDIS participants, families and service provider representatives, and provide feedback about key issues such as mandatory independent assessments and other proposed reforms. Come along and have your say to ensure that the reforms reflect what Queenslanders want for the NDIS going forward.
