31 October 2019
It is my pleasure to announce the results of the 2019 electronic ballot for QAMH Board Elected Directors.
There were two positions available on the QAMH Board and the following people were elected:
- Elected Director: Melanie Sennett
- Elected Director: Nicole Dickson
I would like to congratulate Melanie Sennett and Nicole Dickson on their appointments. I would also like to thank all nominees who put their names forward for their preparedness to make a contribution to QAMH. We were incredibly fortunate to have such a high-quality field of candidates.
I would also like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank Viv Kissane who is now stepping down from the QAMH Board.
Viv has served on the QAMH Board for four years having first been elected to QAMH State Council in 2015 and has been a member of the Finance Sub-Committee since April 2017. Viv’s contribution has been invaluable to the continued growth of QAMH over the years with her vast experience in the perinatal health and wellbeing and consumer and lived experience networks throughout Queensland and interstate. Her vision and passion for the community mental health sector is second to none and comes to life in the work she does everyday with Peach Tree Perinatal Wellness.
I know you will join with me in thanking Viv for her contribution to the Board, to QAMH and the sector more broadly. We wish her all the best for the future.
Finally, I would like to acknowledge that the Board recognises the importance of regional representation and accordingly will reflect on the outcomes from the election.
